You will likely be asked to provide the following information with regard to your work, when requesting copyright registration.
- Name/Title of the work [the Work]
- What is the Type of Work: [is it text, an image, audio, visual, written, etc.]
- What aspect of the Work, specifically, did you want to claim rights to: (e.g. text, audio, visual, lyrics, sound, etc.)
- The following information is required for all Creators/Authors of the Work: Name, Address, Telephone Number, Citizenship
- Provide the year the Work was created or completed? Note whether the Work is still being modified.
- Provide the date of first publication of the Work? Within what nation was the Work published?
- Is the Work based upon a derivative of or incorporate any preexisting work(s). If so, explain.
- If your answer to question 7 is yes, describe what was added to or changed to make this Work, for which copyright is claimed.
